About Me
As far back as I can remember, I was fascinated by photography. I grew up with a darkroom in the basement and a small Fisher Price camera in my hands. I learned to shoot and develop film in my younger years and enjoyed time spent in a dark room trying to perfect the art of making prints. I do believe that digital photography offers many more possibilities and creative approaches, but have not forgotten that experience of crafting a print through time and effort. Through my photography I try to capture the world around me in a creative way, whether that be expansive landscapes or family memories.
When it comes to client sessions, I strive to make every photo shoot more than just sitting and posing in front of a camera. It should be a fun experience from which you will have a lasting memory. The importance of making and capturing memories is why I believe everyone should have physical prints in their hands from a photo shoot or have tangible art on their walls. We live in an age where every image is on social media, on our phones, or even worse, buried on our computer hard drives. If you have ever found some very old family photos, held them in your hand and felt taken back to a time when your parent or grandparents were your age, then you know the value of making prints and passing them down. Holding an old hard drive you found in the attic just is not the same.
For this reason, I make sure that any print purchased from me is personally inspected and held to the highest quality standards and signed by me and all of the portrait packages I offer include prints so that you (and future generations) will have something to hold in their hands and look back on that moment in time.
